This really shows the power of the Visual Studio debugger. If you find that you need other options to debugging, however, try using XNA Debug Terminal. This will bring up a terminal-like display atop of your game and allow you to debug while your game is running. More information, including downloads, can be found at www.protohacks.net/xna_debug_terminal . This can be used with Visual Studio Express as well as any other VS edition.
